GW3 Draft Analysis

We are approaching the end of August, and with that, the first few batches of premier league games have passed us. With those games, we have seen a bunch of surprise names rise to the top, including Pukki and Mount, and there’s been some surprise names in the draft benefiting as a result. Let’s dive into the draft and see the players on top, as well as those who are out of their league.

As seen above, most teams stayed relatively consistent this week, with no changes to the top and bottom spots. All teams, barring 2, managed to hit 30 points, though only Aamir was able to crack 40 points. The fight at the top is quickly becoming a two horse race with Aamir and Sein within 5 points of each other, though Maahir can also be considered a contender. The battle at the bottom, on the other hand, is far more intense, with only 10 points separating 6th and 10th. While we do not have any form of relegation, last place will be subject to a lot of humiliation, so trying to avoid it will be beneficial to all.

Aamir recorded the highest score of the week with 48, thanks to the signings of Redmond and Abraham. Redmond was a risky draft pick that really benefited his team, while Abraham may start bagging more goals following his impressive brace. De Bruyne and Martial further highlight a strong midfield that should make him tough to beat. Looking at the 10 points on his bench, it seems that only luck prevented him from ending in first this week, though that might change soon.

Finally, while I usually do not focus on another team, this will be just to highlight the unluckiest luck to have ever lucked in the history of luck. To not overdo it, here is just the bench of Maahir’s team, the poor soul.
