Gameweek 2 pro tips

Note: Ijaz is busy and so has not contributed for the week. He will return next week.

Must-have for the week

Baffer: To be frank I have no idea whatsoever who you should really pick for your team, because we are in a current situation where I am not not really reliable as evidenced in my GW1 where I had a meager 46 points. The average being a mighty 65 points. This current GW sees some interesting games which renders my team futile, maybe I should play my wildcard right now? Tottenham v City. United take on Wolves. While Chelsea battle Leicester. I guess this is a super weekend, which means less points for all involved. My safe bets would be to get an Arsenal or Liverpool player (as Liverpool take on their B team – Southampton). My advise would be to go for either of the three Arsenal attackers. PEA or Laca or Pepe.

Maahir: Now I know I am a Manchester United fan, but this is said with no bias whatsoever. Martial is definitely one of the best picks for the upcoming week. Classified as a midfielder, while playing as a forward, Martial gets more points and going up against Wolves, who didn’t keep a single clean sheet against the big 6 last season, the chances are high that Martial is going to find the back of the net.

Captaincy pick

Baffer: HAVE MANE! Prima facie read Maahir below.

Maahir: Sadio Mane. While Aubameyang is also tempting, Liverpool are going up against a vulnerable Southampton and Mane, who scored a brace against Chelsea mid-week, is sure to be well rested after being subbed off, and eager to get his first PL goal of the season.

One to watch (for the future)

Baffer: Not Zaha. He faces Tottenham, Manchester (The ugly Reds) and Wolves within the next four gameweeks. Keep him in for this week, then maybe a transfer to the bench or better put, an exile from your team.

Maahir: With the new season, comes new differential players who could make a huge difference. Maupay of Brighton seems like one of those players. Brighton battered Watford 3-0 with Maupay involved in the scoresheet, and if Brighton can keep up this performance, then Maupay is guaranteed to be a big part of that.
