Yoooooooo….Premier league football is back!!! and with that brings a fresh season for all fantasy premier league players across the globe including ourselves. The classic league kicks off with 13 managers all competing for that number 1 spot. Game week one was rambunctious with almost everyone scoring such high numbers that its easy to say that squad selections were on f***ing point! The table currently stands as follows; with Ijaz and Aamir the 2 joint leaders at the top scoring a staggering 94 points each. Veteran Alijaffer of Splendid FC and Newcomer Qubra of Fantasy Beasts at the tail of it, but no so far behind.

Assessing the league’s ‘silent’ first-timers, we’ve got Keyshaun leading the pack at a solid 76 with Yashna right behind him at 73. Khanya at a strong 66 and finally Qubra at a decent 35. Despite the point difference between them, they’re all pretty impressive for people who just started their first ever season! I don’t even want to embarrass myself by mentioning how many points I had my first time (in the lower 20s). On average, most GWs will have people scoring between 30 to 50 points so their scores are quite remarkable to say the least. Attention to the rest of us: watch out for these newcomers as they are looking to teach us a lesson!

A high point certainly shown by managers’ great awareness of picking super-combo Salah and Sterling in midfield, while different managers had their trust placed elsewhere in forms of Harry Kane and David De gea – which also paid off very well. No one expected United’s 4-0 thumping hence, very few players like Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Martial featured in manager’s teams.

On the other hand, Qubra’s Fantasy Beasts might be looking at an early use of the Wildcard chip to remake her team and rack up the points in coming gameweeks or else she may have an uphill battle to overcome!
All in all, a great first GW to kick of this amazing league of incredible, tactical geniuses.
Couldn’t have made a better analysis. Well done boi… On point for the week and considering the three blog posts – you win this one for such a fine print. Also kudos for setting up the blog which I know was hectic and making a screencast to show how things are done. Phewww that 30+ mb was work!
